NASHVILLE, Tenn.—GRAMMY Award-nominated and Dove Award-winning recording artist NewSong will ring in the holiday season with “NewSong’s Very Merry Christmas Tour,” featuring renowned Christian pop-rockers Newsboys and special guest, debut artist Kerrie Roberts. The tour launches Nov. 27 in Whiteville, N.C. and is slated to hit 19 cities, including stops in Frederick, Md.; St. Cloud, Minn.; Quincy, Ill.; Destin, Fla.; and Beaumont, Texas, before concluding Dec. 19 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
NewSong will perform selections from their best-selling recordings The Christmas Shoes and The Christmas Hope, including the group’s emotion-packed #1 mainstream radio hit, “The Christmas Shoes,” which has become the biggest song of their career and one of America’s most beloved Christmas standards. “The Christmas Shoes” also spawned a series of New York Times best-selling novels by Donna VanLiere and two top-rated CBS television movies based on the books and featuring music from NewSong (CBS’ “The Christmas Blessing” was television’s most-watched movie in 2005).
Capping off a momentous year which included the release of a top-selling new album (Born Again) featuring new lead vocalist Michael Tait, the Newsboys join "NewSong’s Very Merry Christmas Tour" on the heels of their very first Christmas release, Christmas! A Newsboys Holiday (Oct. 12, Inpop Records). Newsboys will perform favorites from their six-song CD, which includes holiday classics like “Winter Wonderland,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “O Holy Night,” “The Christmas Song” and more.
New Reunion Records songstress Kerrie Roberts also joins the tour following the release of her self-titled debut album (Aug. 24), which includes the hit radio single, “No Matter What.” A southern Florida native, Roberts has been performing since the age of 5, developing her huge, soulful-pop voice while growing up in church choirs and studying music at the University of Miami before landing a record deal a few years later.

About NewSong:
NewSong has had 20 #1 radio hits, a GRAMMY® Award nomination, eight Dove Award nominations, and numerous songwriting awards. The group's now-classic 2001 ballad, “The Christmas Shoes,” was a #1 hit at mainstream AC radio and inspired the top-rated CBS television movie of the same name. In 1994, NewSong launched the first-of-its-kind “Winter Jam Tour Spectacular” (www.jamtour.com) concert series—multi-artist, ticketless concerts that give thousands the opportunity not only to hear incredible music but to also hear the Gospel message. More than 400,000 fans attended the 44 dates of the 2010 “Winter Jam Tour Spectacular,” which was the #1 tour in America in the first quarter and landed at #2 on Pollstar’s 2010 Worldwide First Quarter Ticket Sales “Top 100 Tours” chart.
About Newsboys:
This GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award-winning band has achieved what few artists have in their lifetime. They have sold almost 7 million units, garnered five Gold albums and 26 #1 hits, and are renowned for their heart-pumping live shows. Last year, when longtime members Jody Davis (guitar), keyboardist Jeff Frankenstein and drummer Duncan Phillips welcomed the strengths, writing talents and boundless energy of former dcTalk member Michael Tait to the band, it was clearly a good reason for Newsboys to feel born again and share brand new songs with fans old and new. Born Again is Newsboys' 15th studio project.
About Kerrie Roberts:
Growing up a pastor's daughter, Kerrie Roberts' first performance came at the age of 5. She was the youngest member of the church choir and would stand on top of a milk crate each week to see over the choir's partition. She wrote her first songs in high school, traveled as a backup singer for Engelbert Humperdinck, and has now released her self-titled debut album on Reunion Records. Her distinctive songwriting and powerful voice have already caught the attention of radio stations and listeners across the country, with her first single, "No Matter What."
